Heidi's by Hand

I'm delighted to have more and more of my own yarns filling the shop at London-Wul.
It's been a dream in the making with any number of creative projects along the way.
The shelves are brimming over and production is in full swing for more to come. Customer favourites remain Heidi's by Hand sock yarn as well as bulky handspun singles. The family is growing, however, with merino dk, BFL fingering weight and merino lace weight on board.
All new yarns are on queue for the New Year including an irresistible merino silk and a custom, super-dependable, all-Canadian worsted. I can't wait for you to meet them all!

Chevron ReMix pattern

... well the drafting, charting, sample knitting and test knitting is done.
My "Chevron ReMix" pattern sets out on it's own this week...

I think I'll knit a small version in hand spun.
Happy times!!

Summer Fling

... my summer fling pattern is now available as a pdf download.
It's a fun knit with a simple pattern repeat. It's easy to wear and can be knit in any size. I think I'd like to have it in several colours, well maybe emerald green for a start... Summer Fling KAL?

... so I've been away from the computer, teaching and dyeing loads of new BFL lace weight for you all. I've also finished up a series of knit designs. I'm excited to have them set foot out in the real world, to be in the hands of other knitters. There is still work to be done before they are fledged, testing and retesting, editing and revising.
Making sure that they are mature enough to leave the nest.
In the meantime here's a sneak peek at "Summer Fling" .

dreaming and doing

... projects coming and going, being conjured, crafted and in this case completed!
Here are two lace projects that I would highly recommend. The first pattern written by Lilia Komosa can be found HERE. Below is another lovely pattern, also well thought out and well worth the effort. It was written by Judy Marples and can be found HERE. Give them a try you'll be glad that you did.
