HATS FOR HAITI

Contact Project Medishare for Haiti to join in helping the people of Haiti.

A country wool shop is a wonderful thing. I have the good fortune of meeting some of the most amazing people on the planet. I really do.
The following is a message which tells of my meeting with Catherine Wile, her sister, and via telephone, her lovely daughter Jessica. Through this meeting I was made aware of Project Medishare. Check their link. Helping out is easier than you might think.

Hello Heidi,
This summer, my sister and I visited your wool shop and while there I took a call from my daughter. She was in the midst of preparing for a volunteer work week with Project Medishare at the Bernard Mevs Critical Care Hospital in Port o Prince, Haiti and was wanting my sister and me to knit preemie hats for her to take. She thought it rather fortuitous that we were at a wool and so could buy the wool and get started knitting. In all the excitement, my sister explained to you what was going on and before we knew it, you were generously filling a bag with wool and then insisted that it was a gift for Haiti. We were overwhelmed and really didn't know what to make of it all, but over the next week we knit hats and Jessica, my daughter took them with her Haiti where they are now keeping sick preemie babies warm. We will continue to knit up the remaining wool and ensure that they make their way to Haiti at the first opportunity. Attached are pictures of some of the hats.
Thank you so much for your generosity.
