I've been longing to add a felting machine to the studio. After deciding that this was definitely a must (for both felting and embellishment) I set out to do my homework in choosing just the right product. This quest for the be-all, end-all in surface design equipement led me straight to the Baby Lock Embellisher . .....but then there's the quilting machines, sergers and embroidery machines, in the end I decided to take them all home ! ;)
Cheers, Heidi

BAGS WITH BLANKETS KNIT- ALONG!

Hi All,
We are having a ball with our November knit clinics! London-Wul couldn't be a happier place with so many new knitters, old friends, laughter, support and encouragement. A special thanks to all of the wonderful instructors who have come out to "spread the knitting love".

there are still two or three seats available as not all students have been able to join us for each clinic.
Be sure to call in and book a seat for Saturday November 10th and Saturday November 17th 1pm-4pm. ........ clinics are free of charge.

Brand new knitters are welcome. We also have a sock knitting station and a mitt knitting station for those who would like to explore knitting on double pointed needles, colour knitting etc.

Which leads us to the next point of anticipation.....
Our winter knit-Along is about to begin!!
Prompted by two amazingly tempting books as well as the new London-Wul Luxury lap Blanket kits, our KAL gang has been divided between a yen to knit a funky new bag or a cozy winter cover. Being a diplomatic, if not overly sensitive group we have decided to take on the title of "Bags with Blankets" in honour of this year's London-Wul winter Knit Along.
(two great starting points for the KAL are the new "Bag Styles" and the classic "Little Box of Knitted Throws" we have several copies in stock ....will call in more orders if you need a copy of either)

(Our new "Luxury Lap Blanket" Kits combine handspun, hand dyed and novelty yarns for a "design your own" project. I have been having as much fun putting them together, often to match someone's living room decor, as I am knitting up samples. I'm not keen on repetition so these ever changing combinations are just my cup of tea!)

The Bags with Blankets KAL starts Sunday January 6th/08 from 1pm-4pm an will continue each Sunday from 1-4 through to the end of February.
For more information or to book a seat call: 506-382-6990

(this is my "worry bag" I started it when Angus went in for his first knee surgery. It was meant to felt to shape but, after knitting, it turned out to be a huge sack that I could actually fit my body into! needless to say it required some serious felting after which I cut and sewed with much felt fabric left over. The leather handles were actually the inspiration. I am higely impressed with their attachment and durablility. The bag has been carrying some hefty loads with pattern books etc...there are still a few left and we have re-ordered handles in a great selection of colours ... will keep you posted re: their arrival. As I have just finished this project I am now trying to decide on which throw to do for the Knit Along....hmmmm.... )
