SOCK WALKERS

One of the projects that Arnold and I have been working on this winter is the development of a two mile woods road that meanders through the farm along our back pastures and beyond to woodland that, in the past, had been inaccessible. The road is a very special place for us. It is a space for walking, thinking and spending time with the farm itself.
One of the projects that we have been working on in the shop this winter has been to develop a "Sock Walkers" group. What's the connection?
The Sock Walkers project works on three levels:
1) come into the shop and pick up a London-Wul 'Sock Walkers" card. Your card yields a special sock yarn offer! Can't make it out for our knit gatherings? That's OK you can use your card anytime you visit London-Wul.
2) A Sock walkers knitting group will meet at 7 pm - 9:30 pm on the LAST Wednesday night of each month (starts Wednesday April 25/07). Bring your current sock project, aspirations of your next sock project or come to learn how to knit a sock! Double pointed, toe up, two needles, the engineering of socks will be our focus.
3) You are invited to meet me (and Finn, and Angus) one hour earlier, at 6pm on the LAST Wednesday night of each month to join in a rejuvenating walk down our woods lane and into the heart of London-Wul Farm (starts Wednesday April 25/07). Easy walking, bring a change of footwear (rubber boots) .We'll venture past the sheep pastures, take note of the developing dye plants, take a deep breath, enjoy good company and return in time to take a seat in the Sock walkers knitting circle.
No solo walkers, sorry, (as this is a private work road).
also of note: our summer Lace Knit-A-Long will meet on the FIRST Wednesday night of each month 7-9:30 starts Wednesday May 2/07!

...well the Einstein's are in full swing and for some like Alison and Patty, seen here, Einstein is in use! Cheers to Renee, Alison, Patty, Geraldine and Judianne who have completed their project! Oh, and I'm done as well. Congrats, also, to Nadine who despite a late start has aspirations of skipping all work and or chore related activities in order to pursue Einstein - that's the spirit! To all of our local K - alongers, we WILL meet again on the first Sunday of April ...then on to the Lace KAL!
