...and so it began. The Einstein KAL started yesterday. Many happy beginnings as we measured, calculated and cast on. Bonding that can only take place while sharing bust size and hip circumference was apparent. Copies of "The knit Stitch" abounded as we gazed longingly at our target, elegantly modelled in glossy print. That will be us someday damn it ! THAT WILL BE US !!

If you go to my blog - www.peg-woolinmysoup.blogspot.com you can see my progress for the first two days. It is snowing out just now, so it looks like another knitting day. Perhaps today I will pick up for the right front! Wish I had been there on Sunday, as it looks like fun!
After much swatching ( truly) I cast on last night. A little late, but full speed ahead. Knit on girls...
Nadine, what a great choice! I'm knitting mine in Lopi, but with lots of texture including Fleece Artist Slubby, Baby Alpaca and Curly Locks - at least that's the plan at this time. Everyone has made such interesting choices..the coats will be fun to see when they are completed.
I'm using a denim colored galway that has specks of red, yellow, blue and green in it so that it won't just be a boring solid. I'm a hefty person and a solid would be just a bit much not too mention the bored to tears effect of all that garter in a solid. Happy knitting everyone!
