Before there was fibre and from the beginning of time (for me) there have been creatures , particularly birds, flitting into and out of my life. Here is the most recent arrival. A starling baby who just happened to crawl through our warehouse insulation and land in our attic hatch. Bare bottomed and downy headed, he (or she) was more than ready for a meal and I have been obliging (every 20 minutes or so) for the past week.

What a darling little star ling. Great job Heidi. I wouldn't know how to care for a baby bird. Do you feed it earth worms? JB
Sweet. So tiny yet so fortunate to crawl into a space co-habitated by a kind soul.
Julia, he is eating softened dog food at the moment.

Heidi, please keep us informed about the orphan bird's progress. PS. I mailed a small donation for RHD this morning to London-Wul Farm at the address on the invoice. JB
I'm a fanatic birder also. Good job taking care of this wee one. It's not easy but aren't birds just the most magical creatures? (I mean after Dragons of course lol)
Heidi, how is the little orphan starling doing? JB
