INTO SPRING KNIT ALONG

A surprise Knit along following at the heels of our colour knitting project.
(for my part, re the color project, Otto the owl is complete minus assembly and stuffing:)

Tanya has used her knitterly ways to convince at least 8 regular London-Wullers to join her in knitting the Ladies February Sweater. hmmm...might a KAL be brewing?

This is an Elizabeth Zimmermann Pattern as modified by Pamela Wynne of Flint Knits to morph from baby sweater to fit "grown-ass women".
Though we are not the first to take up this project en mass (in case you haven't heard of a little old blog called the Yarn Harlot, we will be knitting this project along with 4,000 or so of our closest friends ), we invite you all to join in, sit and knit here at London-Wul or wherever you may be.
The London-Wul gang will be gathering to sit and knit or spin or just chat on Sunday afternoons...see you there.

PS. Yes - I'm in! (With steel grey 100% alpaca me thinks) It's top down for gosh sakes. How could I say no? ....Thank you Pamela, for this pattern!

Landscape Felting with Heidi Wulfraat

This workshop is tailored to the beginner felter. Choose from kits available and discover the materials and techniques that will allow you to develop your own repertoire of felted works. Explore design and color elements, the “mood” of landscape, and the effective use of embellishment.
Heidi has created a new series of felted designs now patterned and available as kits for your exploration.“ I like to begin by working on a water color “sketch” of the image that I have in mind. These paintings are then translated to a felted medium. It’s a good fit for me. Both watercolor and felt flow with a certain ease of motion which can take you in a direction that you may never have expected!”
Min 5 participants, bring your group, booking are on-going

Learn to Spin
Want to give a spinning wheel a whorl?
Instructor Heidi Wulfraat has been producing natural fibres and hand spinning as a profession for the past 14 years. Her spinning instruction will gently walk you through the mechanics of a spinning wheel, the character and preparation of natural fibres, the qualities and structure of yarn. You will spin various fibres and fibre preparations in single and two ply fashion.
$95.00 instruction fees, students will be registered upon payment.

Equipment available or bring your own wheel.
For maximum attention this workshop is open to a limited number (1 – 3 students per class).

Weaving on a Simple Loom
