Ah yes, one of Finn's many and varied talents.
In between the twice daily goat trek from upper to lower pasture and home again Finn hones his skills on "September" and "Lainey" our resident goose duo (leading them down the garden path as it were). Oh, and the stick he carries? Think of it as the ultimate Border Collie stress ball, suggesting authority and relieving tension brought on by a world that moves in painfully slow motion.

Pardon the atrocious, and quite obvious, pun, but doesn't look ready to "goose" the geese with that stick?
I love how those geese look like they're out for a leisurely stroll, chatting with each other!
WOW! I didn't know we could comment about your blog until last night...what we learn on knitting Wednesday...not always about swatching a gauge or gauging a swatch...that is the same beastly goose ( sorry Heidi) that was chasing me around in circles ( yeah - Fin was a great help) he was trying to herd me in with the goose while all the goose wanted was a piece of me..you don't need guard dogs ( I think of Angus affectionately - but a guard dog he ain't) you have a guard goose which is way scarier. I must admit I was laughing so hard I had trouble escaping....

Heidi, you definately must hook another master piece using this lovely portrait of Finn's dedication to the hearding of the geese. There is so much live in it and he is so serious about the whole thing. An unforgetable moment in his busy day. Go to it, girl. It is a sure winner and will compliment your work of "Love on the Run."
Heidi......the Goose Whisperer is a rug waiting to be hooked! I can envision it hanging at Shelburne in two years. It would make an incredible companion piece to Love on the Run. It's a delightful photo. Your blogs are great.
