JUST EVERYTHING.......

It seems that just when you have loads of exciting things to journal about these very activities prevent you from actually getting things down in writing.
So, finally, here's what's been going on at London-Wul as of Late;

..here is our knitting group's collaborative blanket.. off to the Linus foundation to find a little person.
...I have been spinning a wee bit:)

... and dyeing

...little orphan bird is doing extremely well as you can see.

..... summer classes are a delight

.... abstract rugs are underway

.... and I have managed a wee bit of sewing just for fun

PROGRESS

..lots of progress.
My first abstract rug is almost complete. Yup the first. I enjoyed the process so much that I am beginning to plan the next.
I have finished up a new knitting pattern and sample for our next newsletter.
Classes are rolling along merrily. I am working with individuals and very small groups this year so that those who are not able to book into a regularly scheduled workshop can book at any time.
I love one-on-one teaching! I find it so satisfying for myself and, I believe, for my students as well.

..aaaaand for the best progress of all, Bird is eating on his (her) own!
which also means that I am now proprietor of a full-fledged meal worm colony (a necessary sideline for human bird moms).
Bird eats moistened dog food for the most part but, really, no self respecting starling can go without live grubs.
I'm so proud. It's so much easier for orphaned chicks to make progress when they are being reared with others. Bird is making it all on his own (well, with his pseudomom)

So there you have it ........ all bright lights and big city here at London-Wul!
Hope you're summer is progressing marvelously!

GROUP EFFORT

This winter London-Wul was a buzz with group projects and challenges.
Here is a little sampling from our spin-along.
Bottom Left: polwarth fibre that I dyed for everyone.
Upper Left: the same roving, carded in a blend, spun, dyed and expertly knit by Tanya
Upper Right: I spun the same roving and wove it along with other yarns.
Bottom Right: Jeff decided to spin a beautiful textured yarn.
